Jackson Trail Blazer Ranch     

Here are some pictures of our herd sires and foundation dams. I have also included a sample logo and a picture of the badlands. I don't want you to think I'm exaggerating how rough the country is.

The Cattle

The Galloway cattle set the standard on the ranch. Any Hereford, Red Angus, or other breeds need to keep up with them. 

Jackson Reds are a mix of these three core breeds. Occassionaly I have used other red sires but I have not put them in the hybrid program.

The cows have been wintering in the badlands the last few years. This winter I plan to put them on grass in an easier pasture to increase conception rates. The fact remains that any cow left on the place survived two of the worst winters in recent history without a stick of hay!
